I know that you are big on making sure you have good(often complex) backgrounds for most of your work. But the simplicity and the way you blurred the background colors together while keeping the foreground crisp really, really works in this piece. It's like the zooming in from a camera(or eye), or the indication of fog or smoky air behind the bird.
